I will most likely try to enjoy the whole festival, so many good artists that would love to check them all.ĮG: Also, you have a forthcoming release on The Soundgarden. Also excited to check on Goldcap, Sabo, Theus Mago, Zombies in Miami, Bedouin, and of course always seeing Danny Tenaglia is a must. Robbie Akbal: Absolutely, I’m always looking forward to what Damian (Lazarus) plays, especially at that party because it is a big inspiration for me as the track of mine he signed to Crosstown Rebels was inspired by his set at the first Day Zero in Tulum. In September, Damian Lazarus found a second, equally magnetic home for Day Zero in Masada, Israel.Day Zero’s inception celebrated new beginnings with the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012, its origin yielding one of the world’s most transformative and acclaimed parties. Since then, it’s grown to become one of the top parties in Tulum, drawing in thousands of dance music nomads from across the globe each year to loose themselves amid immersive production and hypnotic music surrounding them. The sunset-to-sunrise jungle gathering debuted at the tail-end of 2012 as a way to celebrate the new era brought about by the completion of the last Mayan calendar. Black Coffee, Bedouin, Sidartha Siliceo, Francesca Lombardo, Serge Devant, and Audiofly make up a strong returning cast of talent.
Several artists will be making their debut at Cenote Dos Ojos for the affair, with some notable additions including German pioneer Ellen Allien and SCI+TEC owner Dubfire-as well as Luciano, Concret, and Keinemusik member &ME. Damian Lazarus and his Day Zero team have pulled in a top slate of artists for the festival’s 2020 Tulum edition.
